It was a busy and exciting year at Leaf & Limb! Here's a look back at some of our favorite moments behind the scenes.
Sunrise
In this line of work, we are up early, so we get to see some spectacular sunrises—one of the many perks of the job.
Magical Moment at Pandoland
This year we got a special treat! We could see the Aurora Borealis light up the night sky at Pandoland!
On the Way Up
We climbed a lot of trees. A lot! From structural pruning to training, we spent a lot of time among the branches this year.

Basil released his bestselling book, From Wasteland to Wonder! It has been so popular that it is already in its second edition!
Front Page News
Basil and Leaf & Limb were featured in many news stories and podcasts this year, but the crowning jewel was making it to the front page of the New York Times' website.
Big, Beautiful Trees
We spent time with a lot of incredible trees.

Bouquet from the Branches
We found beauty in the treetops. These Tulip Poplar flowers were especially delightful.
Prairies in Bloom
And found even more beauty on the ground.
Native Seed Drive
The community helped us collect thousands of seeds for Project Pando.
Building Together
And we built air pruning boxes to propagate those seeds.
Tree Nursery
And got to see those seeds grow into saplings.
Out on a Limb
We went to great lengths to care for trees (and make them stronger with structural pruning).
Chillin' in the Canopy
But we also took time for breaks and a little bit of fun.
Safety First
Our safety meetings focused on one of our core values: being safe at all times (yes, even when we are having fun).

We made friends with many of your cats and dogs.
Make Way for Goslings
And hung out with the local wildlife (at a safe distance, of course).
Quiet as a Mouse
And rescued some of our tiniest neighbors. (How adorable is that little guy?!)

We spent many days giving soil space to breathe.

Cookies to Climbing
We volunteered with the Coastal Pines Girl Scouts Troop and showed the scouts how to help trees in our community, the tools we use to assess tree health, and even had a tree climbing demonstration!
Stopped to Smell The Flowers
Many of our Piedmont Prairies have reached their third growing season. They are full of beauty and life!
We Appreciate You!
We loved getting to see so many clients and community members at our annual client appreciation day.
Jumping for Joy!
We are greatful for all of the work we've been able to do in our community this year. We can't wait to see what 2025 brings.
